Ok, so I thought I should go into more detail about Ozzfest and other shit thats been going on in the past few weeks. I have NO idea who reads any of this, so whatever.

Ozzfest, as I said before, was fucking insane. We got there at about...10:30 AM, after I almost drove us into the back of a truck, which Rebbeca and Mandy may never let me live down...Any ways, so we rolled into the parking lot and made our way to the ticket gates. I had forgotten just how big the Tweeter Center is, and I also forgot how loud a concert can be at said Center. Off in a blocked off parking lot they had the second stage set up. I think we got there just as A Life Once Lost started their set. I'm not a fan of Hardcore/screamo, but they were pretty good. We hung out there for a while and Ciaran and I really weren't too into it so we went to see when some of the other bands would be on. Only when we read the list out loud to each other did it dawn on us just how long we were gonna be in the 96 degree, muggy and soon to be pot filled air that hung over the Tweeter Center. I think I might have found that more fun the he did.

Anyways, after one too many screamo songs for our litlte group we went to look at the Venders, see what goods they were selling for ungodly amounts of money. I don't really remember what happend next,(I think some band Like Noram Jean came on...they suck.) but we ended up on the Lawn with a bunch of condoms, I tried to make a balloon, it didn't go so well. We went back to the seocnd stage, and watched someother band, and then Bleeding through came on, they were decent, but we left and went back to the lawn. Ciaran and I were talking to the girls about how much we wanted to see Atreyu, and then we heard them being announced over at the second stage, but that was packed WAY too tight, so we just watched the show from the stairs. A few more bands came on before anything we really felt like moving for. Black Label Society was the last band to play on the second stage, Zakk Wylde is mother fucking amazing. I think I was the only one out of the four of us that was into them, but it was cool.

The first MAIN stage and was Dragon Force, I'm pretty sure. They boast being the fastest band in the world. And after seeing them live, I DARE someone to try and play fast. I'm pretty sure it's not possible. The girls were feeling the heat way more then I was, but not much mre then Ciaran. Rebecca gave me quite a scare when she said that she had almost passed out, but she got a drink and came back once she was feeling better.

Now, I like to be on top of bands that are gonna be at a big show like this, so a few months back I went out and bought Lacuna Coils new CD Karmacode (Which has gone missing on me...) and I started to really like the band. I had an idea of what they'd be like live, and they just fucking blew me away, the vocals are much better live and the band just justs right into it. It was amazing, end of story, they are great. After them Hatebreed came out. I've always know when I was listening to Hatebreed, they've got a really heavy sound, with some pretty deep lyrics to back it up. But I've never gotten so into them, I got in with a pretty big mosh, but that turned into a fist fight, and I didn't wanna ruin the day by getting punched in the head, so after I got this one fat guy in the ribs, I left. Anyways, they just put up such a huge energy, I can't even describe it. they played a really long set, or at least the longest so far. Then Avenged Sevenfold came on. Ididn't even know they'd be there until the night before hte concert, so that was pretty bad ass. They were good, but I think they could have done better. But he best part of that set, was when a few guys form Hatebreed came out and they covered Panteras' Walk. One of metals greatest songs. Still makes the hair on my neck stand up thinking about that. So after them Distrubed came on. This is when Ozzfest, became Ozzfest. At first it was just a few drunk people throwing water bottles from the lawn into the seats, but some how it tunred into the Lawn against the seats and PEople started pulling up the dirt form the lawn. Now, Distrubed is one of my favorite bands, they were one of the resons I went to Ozzfest. They Are So much better when you're hurling hunks of dirt at each other and dodgeing yardglasses. The band loved it but reminded us that people were getting hurt and that some people were being thrown out already, so that ended after a few more tosses. System of a Down came on just as the sun was setting, I've seen them before, and thought they were better then. But they were still great. Last but not least Ozzy came out on to stage. Words can't discribe how cool it was to see the man that has inspired some of the best bands around. I was a bit pissed that he didn't do Iron Man, but he did Mamma, bark at the moon and Mr. Crowley, to name a few. We didn't get home til 2:30 AM, it was worth it.


A few days later I picked up my friends Lianna, Kelly and Sophie and headeed down to CT to visit a bunch of homeschooling pals of mine at Mouses' house. Needless to say, we made a fire, and threw gas into it. And then a bug candle..filled with gas. That made a mushroom could of FIRE about 12 feet high. I love thoes bastards. After all that I drove back to Worcester, and about 3 hours north to my grandpas lake house...I like to drive....
